What is "The News"?

"The News" is a category of information that is current, truthful and informative. The news presents all side of a story, topic or issue, whether there be one side or five. The news should consist of things that are important for a general population to be aware and informed of, not of things that solely entertain or boost ratings. The news should be controlled by freedom of the press, not by its audience, the government, corporations or what's popular.
